Cosmam Inc. April
News Letter With a Mother’s Heart, Cosmam Inc. is honored to publish the following newsletter for our valued global consumers. ◎ Spring Lip
Trends ◎ With the arrival of spring, a new and compelling lip
trend has emerged, surpassing the familiar freshness of pastel hues
traditionally associated with the season. Moving beyond the classic MLBB (My
Lips But Better) shades—such as muted rose tones—this trend embraces colors
that are clearer and more refined, yet more universally appealing than the
deep, sensual burnt red-orange hues. This season’s makeup look centers on a neutral aesthetic,
featuring natural nude coral and mauve pink tones that subtly enliven the lips,
as if barely touched by color. The rise of the “Spring MLBB” makeup trend has
been closely linked to the popularity of the glow skin movement. As lightweight
base makeup and softly radiant, luminous skin emphasize natural beauty, heavy
matte lipsticks or overly vivid neon shades no longer harmonize with the
overall look. Instead, moisturizing formulas in toned-down coral and
low-saturation mauve pink offer an effortless way to achieve a sophisticated
and serene impression, complementing a wide range of styles. Designers such as
Jacquemus, Tod's, and Salvatore Ferragamo showcased softly flushed
cheeks—reminiscent of skin naturally warmed under the midsummer sun—using coral
tones and gold highlighters, perfectly harmonized with muted coral lips.
Meanwhile, Valentino completed a delicate MLBB look with pink-toned blush that
mirrors the natural lip color, creating a translucent, watercolor-like finish
that is clear rather than dull (Hyangjang, 618).
◎ Nourishing Care
for Transitional Weather ◎ To
protect the skin from the relentless dryness of spring winds and airborne dust,
morning skincare—particularly proper hydration—is essential. Without
sufficiently replenishing moisture from within, the skin can quickly become
dehydrated, leading to fine lines or increased sensitivity. Therefore, it is
crucial to use products that thoroughly hydrate both the inner and outer layers
of the skin. Deep
cleansing, while effective, may strip away the skin’s natural moisturizing
factors that are vital for maintaining balance. For this reason, a gentle
gel-type cleanser is recommended in the morning to minimize irritation.
Performing skincare immediately after cleansing, while still in the bathroom,
is also an effective way to lock in moisture. As dust
particles adhere to the skin and combine with sebum, they can clog pores and
trigger inflammation. Hence, heavy or sticky formulations should be avoided.
Instead, lightweight products that create a soft, breathable protective barrier
on the skin—or those with anti-pollution properties—are more suitable.
When it
comes time to apply sun protection, relying solely on makeup products with SPF
is insufficient. It is strongly recommended to use a dedicated sunscreen
formulated for outdoor protection. Apply it generously to the face, ears, and
neck. To achieve the level of protection indicated on the product label, a
surprisingly ample amount is required. Therefore, selecting a formula that
leaves no white cast and applying it liberally—even more than one might
expect—is highly advisable (Hyangjang, 618).
◎ Five Principles for Strengthening Immunity ◎ 1.Enhance
Immunity through Lymphatic Circulation Massage A well-functioning lymphatic system is essential for
boosting the body’s immune response. Fortunately, simple lymphatic massage
techniques can be performed at home to stimulate circulation. Raise one arm
and, using the opposite hand, gently tap or stroke downward along the underarm
area approximately 30 to 50 times. This practice helps activate lymph flow and
supports overall immune function. 2.Relieve
Stress through Restorative Sleep During deep, restorative sleep, the brain produces vital
immune substances and enables the body to repair damaged cells, strengthening
its defense against external threats such as viruses. Establishing a consistent
sleep routine is particularly important. It is highly beneficial to maintain
regular sleep hours and ensure quality rest, especially between 10:00 p.m. and
2:00 a.m., when the body’s regenerative processes are most active. 3.Increase
Basal Body Temperature through Light Exercise Research suggests that a 1°C increase in body temperature
can enhance immune function by approximately 37% and improve physical vitality
up to threefold. To maintain optimal body temperature, it is effective to
stimulate muscles, which generate over 40% of body heat. Gentle home-based
exercises—such as stretching routines, treadmill walking, or indoor cycling—can
be incorporated without excessive strain to support overall wellness. 4.Incorporate
Ginger and Garlic into Your Diet Beyond exercise, everyday foods can also elevate body
temperature and strengthen immunity. Garlic, in particular, is known for
improving blood circulation, relieving fatigue, and aiding digestion. Rich in
vitamin B, it supports metabolic activity, while its allicin content provides
antibacterial properties and enhances immune defense. Ginger similarly promotes
warmth in the body; it stimulates adrenaline secretion, facilitating the
efficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients through the bloodstream and activating
internal organ function. 5.Drink Warm
Water and Herbal Teas Regularly
Frequent consumption of warm water or tea is as
beneficial as vitamin intake in maintaining immune health. Teas such as ginger
tea and persimmon leaf tea, rich in vitamin C, as well as green tea containing
immune-supporting catechins and theanine, are highly recommended. Additionally,
burdock root tea and balloon flower tea, which contain saponins that help
stimulate bronchial mucus secretion, can further enhance respiratory health.
Enjoying a warm cup after meals is a simple yet effective way to strengthen
immunity (Hyangjang, 618).
◎ Offer Restorative Comfort to Fatigued Skin ◎ Skin that has been exposed to ultraviolet damage throughout the
day requires proper nighttime care; otherwise, the pace of aging may
accelerate, and the skin may become increasingly sensitive or prone to
imperfections. Therefore, restoring the skin’s condition should be treated as a
priority. If the skin appears flushed or overheated due to sun exposure, it
is essential to gently cool it down by rinsing with cold water or applying a
chilled towel. Once the skin has been sufficiently soothed, applying an
alcohol-free toner with cotton pads or generously layering a soothing gel will
help replenish moisture and bring immediate comfort. Sheet masks infused with calming ingredients are also highly
beneficial; however, it is important to ensure that the material is
non-irritating and suitable for sensitive skin. For deeper nourishment,
applying a rich, soft-textured mask while gently massaging the skin, or
layering a nourishing cream—allowing the first application to fully absorb
before applying a second layer to create a protective barrier—can significantly
enhance skin recovery.
If concerns about darkened pigmentation arise, selecting a
brightening product may be effective. However, as such formulations can
sometimes lead to dryness, it is advisable to choose products that also contain
hydrating ingredients to maintain optimal skin balance(Hangjang 618).
