There are various types of basic skincare products, including toner, toner pads, lotion (emulsion), essence (serum), cream, eye cream, moisturizing cream, firming cream, cleansing foam, and sunscreen.
Order of Applying Skincare Products:
l Toner Pads, Peeling Pads, Exfoliating Pads Apply right after cleansing while the skin is still moist to help even out the skin tone. Use sparingly (about once a week) to avoid irritation.
l Toner and Skin Both serve as boosters to refine skin texture. Use one, not both, as they come from the same product line. A cotton pad can help hydrate and freshen the skin.
l Essence, Ampoule, Serum These are concentrated with nutrients. Apply them after toner. Ampoule is the thickest, followed by serum, then essence.
l Lotion and Emulsion Lighter than creams, these products help balance moisture and oil. Apply after serum for hydration.
l Eye Cream Apply before creams. Avoid using serums around the eyes as they can hinder absorption. Use sparingly around the eyes and neck to prevent irritation.
l Moisturizing, Nourishing, and Night Creams Apply creams last to lock in moisture and enhance the effects of previous products.
l Sunscreen Apply as the last step during the day and remove at night. It helps prevent UV damage but should be applied after lighter products to avoid blocking absorption.
Skincare Tips:
Use products sparingly to avoid clogging pores and skin issues. Even gentle products may contain harsh chemicals, so check ingredient labels to prevent skin irritation(Ruby's Various Daily Life, September 17, 2024). |
